Day Eleven - Sunday, July 13th, 2008
Sniff – the last day of Bluesfest! Wanting to take it all in, I ventured to LeBreton flats as early as possible. When I noticed that the Hammerheads were playing Bluesfest, I had a delightful feeling of nostalgia as I remember dancing to their non-stop disco funk beat at Barrymore’s back in the day (I won’t say what day). more
Day Ten - Saturday, July 12th, 2008
After missing last Sunday’s Snoop Dogg performance I was totally pumped to catch the rap/hip hop performances of Akon and Wyclef at Bluesfest. Everyone gathering around the Bank of America Stage was ready for a party, and that’s exactly what they got!

Day Nine - Friday, July 11th
Wow – Day Nine! We’re into the homestretch….the final weekend of Bluesfest! Being Friday night, I met up with a group of friends as we tried to locate everyone and regroup before mobilizing to a specific area to watch some concerts...

Day Eight - Thursday, July 10th
Rested up from a day off – I headed down to Bluesfest a little bit later than I had hoped and ended up missing Plants and Animals – boo! I heard the concert was great and I hope to catch them next time they’re in town. I headed over to my favourite stage, the River Stage, and caught most of Toronto’s Crash Parallel.

Day Seven - Wednesday, July 9th, 2008
I was out of town today so I couldn’t check out Bluesfest but I heard from a reliable source that the Brian Wilson concert wasn’t that great. Too bad dude!..

Slammin’ time at Bluesfest!
Opening night at Bluesfest did not disappoint –
and those who decided to take in a concert or two before the Hip were witness
to the next best thing in blues-rock. For three ‘kids’ (relative age of course)
from the Isle of Mann, the depth and complexity of Back Door Slam’s original
tunes is reminiscent of a band who has been touring for decades.
