The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario is an academic pediatric hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa, with a mandate for care, research and teaching. The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre is a cancer treatment and research facility providing cancer services to patients in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Programs and services include screening, early detection and diagnosis, treatment, supportive care, palliative care, research and education. The treatment team consists of doctors (medical or radiation oncologists), surgeons, radiation therapists, nurses, physicists, social workers, pharmacists, medical technologists, and dietitians. To receive treatment at the Cancer Centre, you must be referred by your family physician or surgeon.

As Ottawa's largest single site provider of in-patient rehabilitation, Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital serves the community with 98 rehabilitation beds. The rehabilitation program is designed to maximize the functional ability of patients who have suffered an injury and offers geriatric, stroke and neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation. Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital is also home to Canada’s largest academic palliative care and end-of-life hospital unit and is Ottawa’s only palliative care hospital unit.

Saint-Louis Residence (SLR) is a francophone long-term care home situated just east of Ottawa in Orleans. Its primary objective is to help its residents reach their physical, social, psychological and spiritual potential. SLR has 198 long-term care beds and provides personal, nursing, and supportive services. SLR also offers a convalescent care program, with 12 beds for people needing time to recover after an operation or serious illness, before returning home or entering a physical rehabilitation program.

The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre (TRC) specializes in the physical rehabilitation of people who have experienced a disabling physical illness or injury. It is part of the Integrated Rehabilitation Program of The Ottawa Hospital. It serves the residents of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec in both official languages and is a fully accredited teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa. TRC provides inpatient and outpatient services for the assessment and treatment of people who have impairments such as: amputations, spinal cord injuries, strokes, lung disease, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, and communication disorders.
